TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.
GOD says that GOD is the goal of the creature. The goal is that where we have to reach. Scripture says that the only purpose of human life is to attain GOD. Therefore, GOD is our ultimate goal. If we are not walking on the path of attaining GOD in life, then surely we are getting misguided because our ultimate destination is only GOD. GOD says that GOD is our Master and Father. Because GOD is responsible for our creation and the creation of the world, therefore GOD is our Father and Master.
GOD says that GOD is the witness of all our actions or deeds. GOD is stationed inside us so we cannot do anything by hiding it from GOD. Any feeling in our mind that we have not yet expressed to anyone, GOD knows about it too. GOD says that GOD gives shelter to the creature. Every creature can go into the shelter of GOD and GOD does accept him. Scriptures state a great benefit of taking the shelter of GOD and it is the order of Scriptures that the creature should continuously remain in the shelter of GOD.
GOD further says in the verse that GOD is our very dear friend. The creature cannot have any friend bigger than GOD. A true friend is always our well-wisher and serving our interest is the main goal of that friend. Nobody can be our bigger well-wisher other than GOD. Nobody can do more favor to us other than GOD. Therefore, only GOD is our greatest friend. The friendship of the world rests on selfishness but GOD does not have any selfish interest in the friendship. GOD even ensures one-way friendship.
Therefore, in life, we must accept GOD as our everything and the name of this relation with GOD is devotion. When we begin to consider GOD as our everything, then GOD also becomes our everything.

GOD here clearly says that those who perform selfish deeds and wish for enjoyment, get the enjoyment in their lives but their worldly journey does not end. They do not reach the dwelling of GOD by getting salvation. At the maximum, due to their virtues, they go to heaven but after enjoying their virtues when their virtues end, they have to return back to the world. The creature thus goes to heaven again and again by performing deeds and then comes back to the world. His cycle of birth and death in the world goes on continuously and he never becomes free from this.
Here the indication of GOD is that the person who does not pursue the desires and the pleasures and undertakes selfless devotion of GOD becomes free from this journey of the world and reaches GOD forever. One who reaches GOD once on strength of devotion, he permanently attains the dwelling of GOD. That creature does not have to return to the world again.
It is the capability of devotion that it can free the creature from the trap of 8.4 million species forever. Otherwise, after bearing the virtues in heaven and the sins in hell, the creature bound by his deeds has to take birth as aquatic, aerial, terrestrial and flora and has to come back in the world continuously. Apart from attaining GOD through devotion, there are no other means of salvation and escape from the journey to the world.
Therefore, we should undertake the selfless devotion of GOD by abandoning the desires of pleasures. By doing so, the creature attains GOD and is rescued forever from the cycle of coming to the world.

- If we do not attain GOD by devotion, we have to wander in the worldly cycle of birth and death continuously by taking birth in various species.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.
GOD gives great assurance to His devotees in this verse. GOD says that those devotees who contemplate GOD, GOD takes full responsibility for their concern. GOD takes full responsibility for the devotee, who exclusively undertakes devotion of GOD. GOD takes care of the full responsibility of that devotee. Therefore, it has been observed that a devotee who undertakes true devotion is always fearless and secure.
Either we undertake our own concern or give that responsibility to GOD, it is up to us. In Shrimad Bhagavad Geetaji GOD says to His devotees that their wellbeing (Yogkshem) is borne by GOD Himself. It is such a great assurance that the wellbeing (Yogkshem) of the devotees constantly engaged in the devotion of GOD is borne by GOD Himself, and such devotees do not need to worry about themselves.
Such devotees get whatever they want through GOD and GOD also protects whatever they have. By whatever means the devotion of the devotee increases and his welfare is ensured, such management is done for them by GOD. With whatever thing disruption comes in the devotion of the devotee and his interest and welfare are not there, GOD removes such things from the life of the devotee. Due to devotion, the true devotees have this firm belief that whatever circumstances that came into his life are sent by GOD and his welfare lies in the same. Then he remains happy in both the conditions of favorability and adversity.
Our own endeavor should be to undertake exclusive devotion of GOD and to always contemplate GOD. If we are able to do so, then GOD Himself takes all our responsibility.

GOD says that those who worship others that worship also reach GOD. The direct meaning of this is that when we worship GOD that worship automatically reaches all. Like when we water the roots of a tree then that water reaches the stem, branches and leaves of the tree, similarly, when we worship GOD we automatically worship all.
This fact is also available in a different context in Shrimad Bhagavad Geetaji. When GOD showed His grand divine-form to Shri Arjunji, then he was able to sight all Deities and all the different worlds in the Divine body parts of GOD. The divine-form of GOD attributes that everything is situated in GOD and everything is the part of GOD. There is nothing other than GOD. There is no entity of anyone apart from and away from GOD.
Therefore with the worship of GOD alone, all get automatically satisfied. When the worship of any Deity reaches GOD then the worship of GOD also automatically reaches all Deities. Therefore it is a principle that with the worship of GOD all Deities, Lokpals, Sages and Ancestors get satisfied. In the universe, there is only GOD and all others are situated inside GOD. Therefore if GOD is worshipped then all situated inside GOD gets automatically worshipped.
How accessible it is that with the satisfaction of GOD all are satisfied. With the worship of GOD, all are worshiped. When we serve GOD, all are served. Therefore, GOD must be considered paramount in life and must be worshipped with primacy so that all are automatically satisfied.

- The worship of GOD alone satisfies all as there is no other entity apart from GOD. Therefore, the worship of GOD should be paramount in our life in order to satisfy all.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - GOD said the above words to Shri Arjunji.
In this verse, it has been said that there is no prominence of the substance offered to GOD but there is prominence of the emotions of the devotee behind it because GOD is always hungry for the emotions and not for the substance offered. For example, when the devotee develops the emotion to offer food to GOD then GOD also becomes hungry. GOD gets pleased even with Shri Tulsidal (Holy Basil leaf) offered to Him with affection. GOD Shree Mahadevji is pleased even with a stream of water.
Bhagwati Shabriji offfered mouth-eaten berries to GOD Shree Ramji and GOD accepted it very gladly. GOD never forgot the sweetness of the mouth-eaten berries offered to Him with love and emotions and discussed its sweetness regularly in front of all. Even when Bhagwati Sita Mata offered food to GOD then GOD use to say that the food is very tasty but the sweetness of the berries of my Shabriji was different. GOD did not even miss the opportunity to praise the berries offered with loving emotions by His devotee in front of Jagjanani (Mother of all).
When the emotions to offer to GOD increases in a devotee then GOD also gets influenced with the love emotions and forget Himself. With the increased love the devotee forgets what he is offering to GOD and GOD also forgets what He is accepting from His devotee. The offerings made with loving emotions are accepted by GOD with a deep sense of pleasure. For GOD, the importance of substance offered to Him is never there, He only searches for the emotions behind the offering made.
Therefore, in life, whatever we offer to GOD, be it food and be it our deeds, it must be offered with love and emotions then only GOD will gladly and immediately accept it.

- The substance offered is never important to GOD, only the love and emotions with which it is offered pleases GOD.

GOD explains a unique thing here that any substance, any action and any endeavor which we do we must offer it to GOD then only we will be always free from its deed bondage. If we do not do so then it will bind us and we will have to take births to bear the fruit of it. Therefore whatever earthly, spiritual and natural activity that we do we must offer it to GOD.
GOD says that by offering all substance and action to GOD and even by offering oneself to GOD the creature is absolved from auspicious and inauspicious fruits of infinite births. Here the thing to note is that inauspicious deeds are a binder and the auspicious deeds are also a binder. The difference is only that the binding of one is of iron and the binding of the other is of gold but the fact is that both binds. To be free from this bondage the only solution lies in the fact that the deed must be offered to GOD.
The person who makes it a rule in life that whatever he will do he will do only after offering it to GOD, he will always be free from the bondage of deeds. Then his deeds will not be able to bind him and he will be free from the deed bondage and will be absolved from the cycle of birth and death. GOD says that the creature who moves ahead in life by offering all his actions to GOD is free in his lifespan and being free he attains GOD during his end. There is not an iota of doubt that the creature who offers all his deeds during his lifespan to GOD, does not have to take birth again.
Therefore, the creature must offer all his deeds and action to GOD as a rule so that there is no deed bondage in the end time and he is set free to attain GOD.

- We must offer and surrender all our deeds and actions to GOD so that there is no bondage of it and thus we escape the cycle of rebirth which is there due to bondage.

GOD says that those who worship GOD with devotion and do not keep attachment with the world, those who are dedicated only to GOD, those who perform deeds for the happiness of GOD belong to GOD and GOD belongs to them. The creature who dedicates his body, senses, mind and speech to GOD becomes of GOD and GOD belongs to him. The gist of the saying of GOD is that the creature who dedicates himself to GOD, worships GOD and surrenders to GOD he is exclusively loved by GOD.
GOD is present in all in an equal way but the creature who reaches GOD with devotion and love gets the exclusive mercy of GOD. The principle is that as much as GOD is dear to us, we are so much dearer to GOD. The one who offers himself to GOD, GOD also gives Himself to him. As per the emotions of the devotee, exclusive mercy and dearness of GOD are with such devotees.
In the eyes of GOD, who becomes of GOD, GOD also belongs to them. Those who worship GOD with devotion, they belong to GOD and GOD belongs to them irrespective of which country, age, caste, sect, stage of life or race they are in. The gist is that the creature only has to worship GOD with devotion and attain the contiguity of GOD. When this happens GOD takes special care of him. In the Holy Scriptures GOD has been hailed as one who takes the exclusive side of His devotee. GOD is so kind and merciful that He becomes the devotee of His devotees.
Therefore, in life, it is best that with devotion we should become of GOD. Those who undertake loving devotion of GOD reside in GOD and GOD resides in them. Therefore, in life, our main objective should be to undertake the loving devotion of GOD.

- GOD showers His mercy and grace on one who exclusively becomes of GOD by having supreme love for GOD and undertaking devotion of GOD.

GOD says that even if the extreme wicked start to perform devotion then he is transformed into a saint. Attaining the contiguity of GOD has so much impact that even extreme wicked becomes a saint. It is the devotion of GOD that leads to this transformation. There have been many saints and devotees who were not saints or devotees initially but the emotion of their life changed because of devotion and they became very renowned devotees. Many such instances are found in Holy Text and in Shri Bhaktmaal.
The capability of devotion is so much that thief, robber, bandit and killer got totally transformed into an excellent devotee of GOD. When GOD in His divine speech has asserted this fact in the above verse then no question of any doubt remains. After affirmation by GOD, it must be accepted as a principle that the exclusive devotion of GOD has such supreme capability that by undertaking devotion even the extreme wicked is transformed and becomes a saint from wicked.
When we see through the vision of devotion then we find that demerit and wickedness lie in one’s life only because he is untoward to GOD. When the creature comes in the contiguity of GOD with the emotions of exclusive devotion then all his demerits and wickedness gets automatically removed. The great generosity of GOD can be seen from this verse. GOD says that even if someone is wicked but he starts worshiping me with devotion then he must be considered virtuous because he has taken a great pledge to move on a virtuous path due to devotion. If we see the conduct of that creature, he is very inferior due to his sins but as he has pledged his future life on the path of devotion, therefore, GOD assumes him as saint.
Devotion has such strength that all the sins of a creature engaged in devotion are destroyed by GOD and his tendency to commit sins is also destroyed by GOD.

- Devotion has such tremendous capability to transform even a sinful and wicked creature into a virtuous one.

This is one of my favorite verse because GOD here through Shri Arjunji makes a declaration that there can be no downfall or destruction of a devotee of GOD. The gist is that for those who have sought GOD through devotion, there is not the slightest possibility of their downfall or destruction because they are protected by GOD Himself. The principle is that there is no downfall of the devotees because they are GOD faithful and have got the power of GOD which prohibits their downfall.
The downfall of a creature can only happen when he leaves the shelter of GOD. But the devotee never retreats from the shelter of GOD in his life, therefore, his downfall or destruction can never happen. It is the nature of GOD that He takes the full responsibility of the devotee who takes His shelter and takes full care of him. GOD never allows any ominous or inauspicious thing to happen to His devotee. In history, we will not find any instance where any downfall or destruction of any devotee of GOD has ever happened.
How big is the assurance which GOD declares for His devotee through Shri Arjunji ? The senses of a creature are so agile that they lead them to enjoy bad things and thereby lead to their downfall and destruction. But when due to devotion we relate all our senses to GOD then their agility is calmed and they do not take us in the wrong direction. Devotion leads our senses to GOD and makes them pure and after taking the shelter of GOD our senses are never again downgraded.
Therefore, whoever creature wants his life to be uplifted and wants to stop his downfall, he must deploy his life in the devotion of GOD.

- The devotion of GOD brings moral upliftment in our life and protects us from ominous or inauspicious things in life.

Here GOD has given a big assurance for creatures in sin species. The creature in sin species always finds darkness everywhere. But this assurance of GOD is like a ray of light for that creature through which the darkness of his life gets immediately destroyed. Here in the divine words of GOD, the importance of the shelter of GOD is rendered. How important it is to accept the shelter of GOD, it is seen here ?
After accepting the shelter of GOD the creature becomes free from his sins and achieves salvation. Creatures in the sin species are also eligible for the shelter of GOD. The one who becomes close to GOD by surrender to GOD becomes the holiest and gets salvation. When the creature in the sin species desperately surrenders to GOD and calls GOD then the heart of the compassionate GOD gets touched and GOD accepts him.
As soon as GOD accepts the creature, his sins are destroyed and his welfare becomes secure. When a sinful creature comes into the shelter of GOD and desperately calls GOD, then GOD raises him in His lap. Our sins can never be an obstacle in seeking the shelter of GOD. As a part of GOD, no one is forbidden to come to the shelter of GOD. This is such great generosity and compassion of GOD. The door of GOD is always open for everyone and GOD happily accepts everyone who comes in His shelter.
The sin species whose name is even disgust, the creature of that most inferior species also when comes in the shelter of GOD, then they achieve salvation and achieves the holy state.

- GOD is so compassionate that He has given the right to even sinful creatures to seek His shelter through which they can renounce their sins and achieve salvation.

It is a principle that the one who involves himself in the devotion of GOD, his salvation is assured. There is not an iota of doubt in the fact that devotion ensures the definite salvation of the creature. Therefore, GOD has given special emphasis on devotion in this verse. GOD says that the human life which creature has received is not going to last permanently. If human life is not utilized for devotion and it is destroyed on death then this life will go in vain. Secondly, GOD says that human life is devoid of happiness. GOD has called the world a dwelling of sorrow and GOD has said that there is no happiness in the world, only the illusion of happiness is there. True ecstasy in human life can only be found in devotion.
The two things that GOD has said are very important. Human life is not eternal, that is, it is not going to be permanent. When this life will end, no one knows about it. Therefore, it is best to devote this life in devotion to ensure salvation as soon as possible. The second thing GOD has said is that there is no pleasure in the human body. Therefore, GOD has warned us that upon getting the human body we should not waste time by using it for seeking pleasure.
We have got this human body only for attaining GOD and the most accessible means of attaining GOD is devotion. If we forget to achieve salvation through devotion after getting the human body, then we will have to go to other innumerable species and we will not get the chance of our salvation in those species. Therefore, for the betterment of the creatures and for the salvation of the creatures, the merciful GOD says that after obtaining the human body, we should only worship GOD.
All are eligible for the devotion of GOD, whether they are evil or virtuous. Therefore, for the salvation of all, GOD has instructed everyone to utilize the human body because all are free, capable, qualified and eligible to undertake devotion.

How kind and merciful GOD is, it can be seen in this verse. GOD is so kind and merciful that He opens the way for His achievement to everyone. GOD says that our mind should be placed in the daily contemplation of GOD. Its direct meaning is that we should discard the contemplation of the world and should contemplate GOD, only then our salvation will be possible. GOD here recommends the creature to undertake devotion of GOD for his salvation. GOD says to the creature that by greeting GOD, bowing to GOD, the salvation of the creature is possible. GOD says that the welfare of the creature lies in the service and worship of GOD.
Everything is revealed by GOD in this verse. It means that by fully making our life Godly, that creature attains GOD in the end times. Then his transportation to this world ends forever. The four things that GOD has said in this verse, those four things come under the devotion of GOD, whereby the surrender to GOD is attained. What is primary in these four things is to become a devotee of GOD. We should understand the meaning that GOD wants to say that whatever is there is only GOD and there is nothing else other than GOD. Therefore accepting the devotion of GOD is the greatest achievement of human life.
By not wandering in different species, the only way to get rid of the continuous birth and death in the world is the devotion of GOD. If the creature undertakes loving devotion of GOD, contemplates GOD, bows to GOD and performs the service and worship of GOD, then all this action helps the creature to become a devotee. One who becomes a devotee of GOD, then the opportunity for his downfall never comes in his life because GOD Himself protects His devotees completely.
Therefore, we must become a devotee and undertake the devotion of GOD and keep the only goal attaining GOD in life.

- Devotion protects us from the downfall in life and ultimately leads us to salvation in the end.
