TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - If a person’s mind gets attracted towards Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran, one must understand that it is the effect of virtuous deeds performed in his previous births. It means that on the strength of virtues of one birth one cannot attain the blessings of Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran. This shows how remarkable and rare this Holy Scripture is, the ultimate conclusion of the Bhagwat principles (GOD's principles), the prime reason for the happiness of GOD and increases the flow of devotion.

GIST FOR ALL RELIGIONS
  1. If someone feels inclined to read a Holy Scripture (of any religion), it is the result and reward of noble deeds performed in many previous births. The inclination to read the Holy Scripture is therefore very rare and the person having such inclination is truly blessed.
  2. Holy Scripture is a truly divine and ultimate treasure chest.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - When in Kaliyug (the present era) Bhakti Mata (devotion) asked Devarshi GOD Shri Naradji about the ill-fortune of her two sons, namely Gyan (knowledge) and Vairaagya (recluse), this reply was received. Due to the desire for materialistic things (being trapped in illusion) neither virtuous knowledge remains in us nor disinterest does arise (on the contrary, the tendency to accumulate increases day by day). When knowledge or recluse doesn't come into our lives, their mother Bhakti (devotion) also does not enter our life.

In this Kaliyug, most of the devotion is done for selfishness and hence this is not virtuous devotion. Virtuous devotion means selfless without any reason. Virtuous devotion means which is regularly done (not at the times of necessity and forgetting thereafter). With virtuous devotion, GOD is pleased. In selfish devotion, we may get prosperity and desired wealth, etc., because for GOD these are nothing but just soil. If we ask GOD for soil He lets us take as much as we want. But on the strength of virtuous devotion, GOD becomes of His devotee and comes in control of His devotee. He comes running bare-feet to help His devotee (Prahladji, Draupadiji), He gets ready to barter Himself for His devotee (Narasiji), He gives higher respect to His devotee than Himself (Sudamaji).

GIST FOR ALL RELIGIONS
  1. Knowledge and reclusiveness must come in life for devotion to come.
  2. Only selfless devotion pleases GOD. Devotion for self-fulfillment is a very poor substitute.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - Explaining the greatness of devotion Devarshi GOD Shri Naradji said that knowledge and recluseness were the means for Mukti (salvation) in the Satyug, Tretayug and Dwaparyug (the three ancient eras). "Knowledge" means attaining salvation from the path of knowledge through spiritual knowledge, Ved Vedant and thousands of other great Scriptures. "Recluseness" means attaining salvation through isolation in the social life by settling on a hillock and religious austerity in solitude.

Both these paths are difficult, though, in Kalikaal (the present era), the devotion of GOD alone is the easiest and the only recourse to attain salvation. Therefore despite being immaterial King Shri Parikshitji considered Kalikal to be the essence and allowed it to remain because of this quality.

GIST FOR ALL RELIGIONS
  1. In the present era, devotion towards GOD is the one and only path that will lead to salvation. It is the easiest of the many paths and therefore we must consider ourselves blessed to be born in this era.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - Devarshi GOD Shri Naradji had disclosed this secret to Bhakti Mata (devotion). GOD had made Mukti (salvation) a slave of devotion. As per the rule laid down by GOD that during Kalikaal (the present era) salvation can only be attained through devotion. Knowledge and recluseness are considered to be two sons of devotion as given by GOD. During Satyug, Tretayug and Dwaparyug one had to strive hard to get knowledge and recluseness but they can be automatically attained through the devotional path in Kalikaal. When devotion comes in our life, then both her sons, knowledge and recluseness also come along and salvation also comes along with her in the form of a slave.

Here a story narrated by the saints comes to mind. We must understand the narration with some changes. In a royal palace of a king, GOD dwelt with His divine qualities. The king indulged in some wrongdoings and the divine qualities shree, fame, grandeur, etc., started leaving him. The king did not stop anyone. Finally, when GOD started leaving, the king caught hold of the Divine Lotus Feet of GOD and started crying in remorse. GOD agreed and stayed with the king. All the divine qualities which left the king started coming back to him, one by one, on their own without being called because they all were like the shadows of GOD. Wherever GOD dwells, these divine qualities also automatically dwell there.

Likewise, if we bring devotion in life, knowledge and recluseness will automatically come in our lifetime and in the end, salvation has to come. This is my GOD's eternal rule which is endorsed in the above verse of Shrimad Bhagwatji.

GIST FOR ALL RELIGIONS
  1. If we keep our devotion intact towards GOD, everything else will automatically fall into place. This principle is defined herein in Shrimad Bhagwatji’s verse.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - Maxim of Devarshi GOD Shri Naradji (who has a very close relationship with GOD) is that in whose heart loving devotion resides, those pure-hearted men will never have to face Shri Yamdevji (GOD of Hell) even in their dreams. Here three words have special significance.

(First Word) Continuous devotion means, not the type which is done at times of necessity and then forgotten.

(Second Word) Pure-hearted means devotion which is continuous and selfless. Devotion done with impure conscience, that is having affection or hatred with someone, yearning for something, to fulfill one’s desire, gives the desired result but such devotion is done with selfish motives, therefore such devotion is not very fruitful.

(Third Word) The one who is devoted to GOD in such a way, even in his dreams, will never have to encounter hell. (i.e., leave aside going to hell in reality, he will never see the hell in his dreams).

GIST FOR ALL RELIGIONS
  1. With selfless devotion towards GOD and purification of oneself with it, one is absolved of sins and thereby going to Hell.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - It is said in the verse that ghost, vampire, demons do not have the guts to even touch the devotees i.e. all forces that create fear go dormant in front of the devotee. It is true that on whose head the Holy hand of GOD is placed, fear never dwells there because the fear that tries to create fear for devotees also trembles due to the fear of GOD for this offence. Because GOD never tolerates any offence done towards His devotee. (The proof for this is the instance of offence done by sage Shri Durvasaji towards King Shri Ambarishji. To stop His own Shri Sudarshanraj Chakra (Divine weapon of GOD) GOD Himself refused sage Shri Durvasaji and finally the sage apologized to King Shri Ambarishji. GOD said very clearly that My Sudarshan can now be stopped only by My devotee because at this time I am under My devotee, and hence My Sudarshan is also under My devotee).

One more citation to this fact is available in the life of Saint Shri Tulsidasji. Saint Shri Tulsidasji inadvertently offered water to the roots of a tree every morning by which the ghost residing there got satisfied and appeared pleasingly before Saint Shri Tulsidasji and told him to ask for something. When Saint Shri Tulsidasji asked for the means to meet GOD Shree Hanumanji, the ghost directed him to go to a nearby place where Shri RamKatha was going on and said GOD Shree Hanumanji will be available there for certain, listening to the Katha. When Saint Shri Tulsidasji asked him what was the reason for his saying this with such confidence. The ghost said that they have to keep such information because they are prohibited to visit such places where GOD, devotee of GOD and means of GOD (Katha, Kirtan etc.) are there.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - Devarshi GOD Shri Naradji conveys a Godly principle with proof that GOD comes in influence and is attached so soon and with so ease through devotion that you cannot attain Him through austerity, through the path of knowledge, through Gyanmarg, Karmmarg, or by any other means.

The exact proof of this is the loving devotion of ShriGopijan. For the reason of loving devotion, GOD united with Bhagwati Radha Mata and became established in the form of Shree RadhaKrishna Yugal Sarkar (Couple form).

GOD had such great affection and admiration for ardent devotee GOD Shree Hanumanji due to His sheer devotion in the form of a servant of GOD. Hence at each of ShreeRam temple and Shree RamDarbar GOD Shree Hanumanji sits beside GOD, apart from these there are innumerable temples where GOD Shree Hanumanji could be seen in the solo form (wherein the heart of GOD Shree Hanumanji resides GOD Shree Ramji. A testimony to it is the Holy pastimes when GOD Shree Hanumanji tore His heart apart and showed a glimpse of GOD in his heart.)

The glory of devotion is the greatest, as GOD keeps the devotees on His eyelids.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - One can hardly find a more beautiful and clear attribute of Shrimad Bhagwatji. In this citation, Shrimad Bhagwatji’s verses are defined as the roar of a lion and defects of Kaliyug (present era) are described as a wolf, which is by all means accurate. Seeing a lion even at a distance or near, the wolf feels its life in its throat. Just as the wolf runs away with fear when the lion roars, the sins of Kaliyug fade away simply on the roar of the preachings of Shrimad Bhagwatji.

Then imagine that situation, where Shrimad Bhagwatji is continuously worshiped at home, where a routine of daily chanting of some verses of Shrimad Bhagwatji is done, can the sins of Kaliyug stay there ? Absolutely not because there Shrimad Bhagwatji celebrates divine ecstasy along with GOD's loving devotion, knowledge and recluseness.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - Shri Sankadi Sage had explained the greatness of Shrimad Bhagwatji in the above verses.

In the first verse, it is evident that Bhakti (devotion) automatically evolves when one hears GOD's Katha i.e. by listening divine and fascinating pastimes of GOD. Pay special attention here to the word "automatically". The easiest means for devotion to come without any labor and effort is by merely listening to the divine pastimes of GOD.

In the second verse, it is said that when devotion is undertaken Mukti (salvation) is attained automatically because GOD has made salvation the maid of devotion. Wherever Bhakti Mata (devotion) will go, salvation will follow it.

The third verse tells us that as soon as the devotion comes its best result is that GOD comes and resides there. This fact is to be understood in the following way that GOD dwells in everyone’s heart, however, for reasons of ignorance due to Maya (illusion), we had closed the doors of our inner soul. Devotion opens that door and unites the soul with the Universal Soul (GOD).

The fourth verse tells us that until we listen to Shrimad Bhagwatji very well, sin dwells in our body. Here the word "very well" has special significance. Even after hearing the Holy discourse, if an emotion of devotion towards GOD does not surface and in the absence of it sins do not get washed away it is only because of not listening "very well".

Being immersed in the love devotion of the Katha and visualizing each and every pastime of GOD, visualizing GOD's grandeur, compassion, grace, kindness, love and devotee affection is the only indicator of "very well" hearing.

GIST FOR ALL RELIGIONS
  1. The easiest means to attain devotion is by listening to the Holy Scriptures which narrates the divine pastimes of GOD.
  2. With devotion towards GOD, salvation will automatically follow.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - This is precisely a sarcastic verse. One who had not heard the Holy pastimes of GOD or has not stepped forward in the path of devotion has been labeled as "wicked", "chandal (who works in cremation)" and "ass". He has totally wasted his human birth and has been born only to cause labor pain to his mother unnecessarily. He is considered to be a living corpse, is labeled as a dead mass on the earth and such a person is cursed like an animal.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - At the time when GOD wanted to rest His ShreeKrishna incarnation and go to His dwelling, Shri Uddhavji pleaded with GOD that Kalikaal (present era) will immediately descend on the earth. Then evils will rule the world, even good people are likely to become aggressive and volatile. Till now, GOD was the support of devotees but afterward who will be the support of the devotees.

Pursuant to the plea, my GOD rested all His powers in Shrimad Bhagwatji and disappeared from this world and entered in Shrimad Bhagwatji. That is why Shrimad Bhagwatji is considered a GOD idol of Holy words. Serving, listening, reciting and visualizing of Shrimad Bhagwatji leads to the destruction of all sins. This verse from Shrimad Bhagwatji endorses Bhagwati Meerabai's beautiful lyrics "Payoji mene Ram ratan dhan payo" (I have attained the great wealth in form of GOD).

In whose heart the devotion for GOD resides, even though if he is poor by earthly means, he is very wealthy and truly blessed not only on earth but in the entire Triloki (the entire cosmos) (Pay special attention to the word "Triloki"). Because upon getting tied with the devotional chord, GOD leaves His heavenly abode and comes to reside in the heart of the devotee. TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - Look here at the excellent result of listening, understanding, contemplating and thinking about GOD.

Given here are some of the evils, almost all the people in the present era will have them in some measure or the other. Committing sin through the mind, body and words, misbehavior, going on the wrong path, burning in anger, crookedness, lustful carving, craving restlessly for desires, devoid of religious dharma, arrogant, getting envied upon the progress of others, giving sorrow to others, alcoholism, theft, adultery, betrayal, treachery, cruelty, mercilessness, not having a clean mind, wicked heart, etc.

TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran's first detailed story is about Shri Atmadev Brahman who sought a child against destiny and got an evil child by name of Dhundhakari. Because of him, when Shri Atmadevji lost everything, he wept of his misfortune in front of Shri Gokarnji who gave him this great piece of advice.

Pay special attention to these lines that see the world as fleeting day and night because the one who sees so will never be attached to anything. Once desires are sidelined, recluseness comes in and thereafter we qualify for experiencing the juice of devotion. Bhagwat Dharma is the biggest of all religions and we must always take shelter in it. Avoid the temptation for earthly things, give up the discussion of good and bad characters around us because it is meaningless. TRANSLATION OF WRITE-UP IN ENGLISH - What an accurate description of the human body. This human body is a place for disease to dwell, made of faults in every pore and it takes a split of a second for it to get destroyed. What a clear interpretation. There are three ways prescribed upon the destruction of this human body and then the golden preaching that in such mortal body why do not men work for attaining immortal benefits ? To divert our human life for attaining GOD through devotion is the best use of this human body. The human body and human life are a golden opportunity to attain GOD through devotion but we lose this opportunity by engaging ourselves in unwanted issues.

It has not been prohibited anywhere against doing human acts but we must not lose sight of the basic purpose of human life and thus keep that priority of human life, this is what is clearly desired here.

We use our human body and human life for mortal benefits like the accumulation of wealth, money, etc. Does the wealth, money of the universal kings and conquerors of history still exist ? No, they have all been destroyed. But through devotion, trying to attain the ultimate thing which is to attain GOD is the immortal fruit of human life because this frees us forever from the cycle of birth and re-births and leads us to rest in the Divine Lotus Feet of GOD. It is the clear view of sages and saints that if by narration of GOD we are able to imbibe love for GOD, devotion for GOD then we must feel assured of attaining salvation.

Those (sages and saints) who had traveled along this path for attaining GOD had told this on the strength of their experience.

For example, we tried to touch the fire and felt the heat out of it. From our experience we can tell the child not to do so, otherwise, it will burn his hand. If the child takes our advice his hand is saved from getting burnt.
