What is the goal of human life ? (Attaining rest in the Divine Lotus Feet of GOD is the goal of human life)
What is the objective or goal of human life. For someone wealth and property, for someone family, for someone fun and enjoyment, for someone fame is the goal of human life. Those people work in that very direction throughout their life. But Scriptures say that the true objective of human life is to attain rest in the Divine Lotus Feet of GOD. To put it in other words, it is to become free forever from the cycle of birth and death in 8.4 million species of the world. A creature's effort should be in this very direction, and for this alone he should undertake devotion of GOD. But illusion (Maya) deludes us in the world and makes us perform actions opposite to the fulfillment of this objective. If one wants to escape from the entanglement of GOD's Maya, then one will have to take shelter of GOD. When we start loving GOD on the strength of devotion and succeed in applying our mind at the Divine Lotus Feet of GOD, then Maya will never be able to cast its influence on us again. In life, one has to choose between Maya and GOD, the Master of Maya, but unfortunately, coming under the influence of Maya, people forget to choose GOD, the Master of Maya. This mistake proves to be very costly.
Therefore, during one's lifetime, we should make efforts toward the true goal of human life so that we can attain a place in the Divine Lotus Feet of GOD.

Who has the right to attain GOD? (Everyone has the right to attain GOD)
Just as when a child takes birth in a free nation, he gets the right to freedom by birth itself. He does not have to make a separate effort for it. He gets it automatically as a birthright. Similarly, when a creature takes birth in the human species, he automatically receives the rare right to attain GOD. Human life is the only life in which a creature can undertake devotion and attain GOD by undertaking devotion. After receiving human birth, we should see whether we engage our body, mind and senses in attaining GOD or engage them in carrying out worldliness. We should see whether we are wasting away this extremely rare human birth, which was received for attaining GOD, in carrying out worldliness. While walking on the path of GOD, we should not get entangled in the world because for a person entangled in the world, walking on the path of GOD is very difficult, that is, almost impossible.
Therefore, the goal of our life should be to attain GOD, the right to which GOD has given to everyone upon getting human birth.

Who can protect us from illusion (Maya) ? (Only GOD's grace can protect us from Maya)
Only GOD's grace can protect us from illusion (Maya). GOD's grace is the only protective shield to escape from the influence of Maya, otherwise, GOD's Maya does not take more than a moment to entangle us. Maya entangles us in its illusionary net (mayajaal) in a moment. As soon as we come under the influence of Maya, we move away from GOD, which is the greatest loss in life. If we want to be saved from this great loss, we will have to earn GOD's grace in life. The means to earn this is devotion. GOD's grace always remains upon the soul who undertakes devotion, and for this reason he remains saved from the influence of Maya. Maya becomes inactive for him and does not cast its influence on him. Apart from this, one cannot escape from Maya by any other method. GOD's Maya has deluded everyone and entangled them in its illusionary net. Therefore, earning GOD's grace by undertaking devotion of GOD is alone beneficial. In this way, we can escape from the influence of Maya and make our place in the Divine Lotus Feet of GOD.
Therefore, for protection from Maya in life, one should earn GOD's grace by undertaking devotion of GOD, the owner of Maya.

On whom should we leave the responsibility of our protection ? (We should leave the responsibility of our protection on GOD)
We bear the burden of our protection ourselves and spend our whole life in anxiety. We invest so much time and labor for our protection, yet we fail to succeed and fall into adversity. It is our misfortune that we do not hand over the burden of our protection to GOD and labor for our protection ourselves. But the soul whose inner eyes have opened takes shelter of GOD by undertaking devotion of GOD and hands over his entire responsibility and burden to GOD. In this way, he becomes carefree for a lifetime. Rather than worrying about oneself, it is far more beneficial to contemplate upon GOD and hand over the responsibility of worrying about oneself to GOD. When we read the biographies of devotees, we will find for certain that all devotees contemplated upon GOD in their life, and the work of their worry and protection was done by GOD.
Therefore, in life, one should leave the responsibility of one's protection on GOD by undertaking devotion of GOD.

In which condition does the remembrance of GOD happen more ? (The remembrance of GOD happens more in adverse conditions)
The one who has immense wealth and property, thanks for GOD comes out from his heart only occasionally. They remember GOD only occasionally, but the one who is in adverse circumstances relies solely on GOD and remembers GOD constantly. A wealthy person relies on wealth, whereas a creature living in adverse circumstances has reliance on GOD alone. In adverse circumstances, the remembrance of GOD comes at every moment, therefore, from a spiritual point of view, it is very beneficial. In adverse circumstances, everyone contemplates GOD and everyone feels the remembrance of GOD. In happiness, only a rare few are able to remember GOD because in happiness we get engrossed in the world and forget GOD. This is the very reason why Bhagwati Kuntiji asked for sorrow from GOD so that the remembrance of GOD would happen to her continuously and she would not forget GOD even for a moment. Never forgetting GOD, this is the true accomplishment of human life.
Therefore, if adversity comes in life, one should never panic, and considering it a path to turn toward GOD, one should accept it cheerfully.

Why is human life alone suitable for attaining GOD ? (Due to devotion human life alone is most suitable for attaining GOD)
How much fear a squirrel or a pigeon lives in throughout the day and night. They fear that someone might kill them. They are unable to store food and have to make a fresh effort every day for food. But if a human being lives a good life with virtuous thoughts, he has no fear in life. Even the poorest of the poor person has provisions for one or two days of food. Therefore, human life alone is considered the most suitable life to attain GOD by undertaking devotion of GOD. The unanimous opinion of Scriptures of all religions, all sages, saints, devotees, and preachers of all other religions is that human birth alone is the most suitable and supreme for attaining GOD. But see the misfortune of human beings that upon receiving human life, they do everything but do not make an effort to attain GOD. They leave devotion for the end and throughout life earn pebbles in the form of wealth, remaining deprived of earning devotion in the form of pearls.
Therefore, upon receiving human life, one should undertake devotion of GOD alone because this human life is most suitable for undertaking devotion.

What should have priority in life ? (Devotion should have priority in life)
While doing everything of the world, that is, while conducting all dealings of the world, devotion cannot flourish. Devotion is attained only upon detachment from the world. When devotion is undertaken, everything of the world automatically gets attained and completed. If we go about doing every work of the world and also try to undertake devotion, then devotion will not blossom. But if we undertake devotion alone, then all works of the world will keep happening automatically by GOD's grace, and we will not need to make any separate labor or effort for them. This is because GOD has promised in the Shrimad Bhagwad Geetaji that He carries the burden of Yogkshem (the acquisition of what is unobtained and the preservation of what is obtained) of His dependent devotees. Therefore, in life we should undertake devotion, then the fulfillment of worldly duties will happen automatically by GOD's grace. But we do the opposite and keep striving throughout life for the fulfillment of worldly duties. In this, we are not able to succeed fully either, and in this very turmoil we remain deprived of undertaking devotion as well.
Therefore, in life, priority should be given to undertake devotion, and one's time should not be wasted in vain solely in worldliness and worldly activities.

Which action yields true virtue ? (Action performed for GOD yields true virtue)
Every smallest action, every smallest labor, every smallest activity done for GOD yields a virtue. Only a rare person gets the good fortune of earning big virtues in life, but we too can continuously earn small virtues in life. Small virtues accumulate to become so large that they surpass even big virtues. Just as a pot gets filled drop by drop, just as a tortoise walking slowly but continuously surpasses even the rabbit, similarly, small virtues that we keep earning in life surpass even big virtues. Therefore, one should not get caught up in earning big virtues but instead should never miss the opportunity to earn small virtues in life.
True virtue is only that which is earned through action performed keeping GOD at the centerstage.

Who is dear to GOD ? (A creature with virtuous conduct is dear to GOD)
It is described in Shri Sunderkandji that the wealth of Lanka which GOD Shree Mahadevji gave to Ravan when he performed penance by offering his heads, that very same wealth GOD Shree Ramji gave to the devotee Shri Vibhishanji, being pleased with his pure heart and virtuous conduct. When the abode of GOD happens in our heart due to devotion, it becomes pure. Then in that pure heart, there is no sensuality, anger, pride, greed, enmity, delusion or malice. A person with such a heart succeeds in applying his mind at the Divine Lotus Feet of GOD. GOD says that a devotee who does so is extremely dear to Him, and he resides in the heart of GOD just as wealth resides in the heart of a greedy person. That is, if we give up sensuality, anger, pride, greed, enmity, delusion and malice by becoming devotional, and remove our mind from the world to offer it at the Divine Lotus Feet of GOD, then GOD will be as pleased with us as He was with Shri Vibhishanji.
Therefore, in life, one should become dear to GOD by observing virtuous conduct and undertaking devotion, only then will our human life be considered successful.

When does wealth stay in life ? (Wealth stays in life through the blessing of GOD)
To obtain the golden city of Lanka permanently, there is a need for the devotion of Shri Vibhishanji far more than the penance of Ravan. Lanka obtained by Ravan through penance went away due to his unrighteousness and sin, but due to the devotion and virtue of Shri Vibhishanji, he got the kingdom of Lanka permanently for a very long time as a blessing of GOD. From this illustration it is clear that wealth stays in life only due to the blessing of GOD. Devotion is the greatest means to attain GOD's blessing. If we attain GOD's blessing by undertaking devotion, then our welfare becomes certain in both this world and the after-world. When our mind gets applied to GOD due to devotion, then injustice or wrong conduct will not happen through us, and only virtue and moral conduct will happen by GOD's grace. Wealth earned through morality and virtue remains permanent forever.
Therefore, in life, one should make efforts to get GOD's blessing by undertaking devotion, only then will wealth stay in life.
